Summer TEACCH Tasks - Independent Maths and Reading activities for pupils with Autism and SEND

Summer TEACCH Tasks contains 11 activities for you to help your pupils with Autism or SEND meet their targets. The activities include a mix of early reading and early maths tasks: Colour matching at two levels to help provide challenge and easy differentiation Sorting ‘one’ and 'lots’ Matching numerals to quantity 1-10 and 11-20 Summer scene picture match Ice cream cone - Alphabet and upper and lower case letter match Summer shape match (4 cards) This resource is also available as part of a Season Bundle - save 25% When using TEACHH tasks the task that is to be completed should be placed on the left hand side of the desk/workstation. The pupil then completes this task and places it on the right when completed. Having a clear visual for the pupil to identify where the finished tasks go is preferable. This clear structure allows the pupils to focus on the task they are completing and not be distracted by the work process. It is important to remember that when completing these tasks it is also about creating and building independence as well as success at the task, this is why the consistent work approach (working from left to right is so important) When using these tasks I would recommend using them for at least 4-6 weeks. For some children it may take up to a term for them to master the skill and be able to complete this independently. This product is also available as part of Seasons bundle! Check out my store for more Autism specific resources! Any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch!
